In addition to its Cultural Projects, PALAS ATHENA organizes and maintains many other projects and free entrance activities throughout the year that are aligned with its Educational Programmes and principles. These projects and activities have an ethical, intercultural and interdisciplinary approach, and are developed by Brazilian and foreign professors, teachers and specialists from various universities, schools, and educational institutes.
They are also undertaken by PALAS ATHENA’s volunteer teams, and are often inspired by the teachings of Mahatma Gandhi, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Nelson Mandela and other leaders embracing non-violent positions. These projects not only promote a reflection on modern-day topics of common interest, but also offer interesting means to bridge theory and practice. They include seminars, courses, workshops, meetings, talks, round tables, presentations, open-air activities, marches, retreats, bodily arts, films, drama, and music, among other events. Examples of key special projects undertaken by PALAS ATHENA:
